About this deal

No mint or menthol in this for me whatsoever. I get dead wood and smoke initially, then the smokiness disappears into overripe (nearly rotten in hot sun) berries, then a touch of that smoke again with syrupy chocolate and vanilla.

i was expecting to produce 1 or 2 new fragrances instead of 10 at once. ( it seems to me producing 10 different perfumes at once can cover many people’s taste. It also seems to be profitable idea in the market. “ Louis vouitton launched 10 perfumes at once in the market, and I don’t like companies copying others ideas and deliver it to people. Opens with a fruity floral burst with soft violet tones and dark & creamy nuances from truffle & gardenia. As it transitions to the heart, spicy notes are added which intensify the darkness of the florals, and the overall effect is a fantasy orchid with dark nuances. The Mexican-chocolate, vanilla-patchouli & incense in the base continue the dark & creamy florals for well beyond excellent performance. It's not listed, but I also get some suede-leather tones as well. I've had it since 2015, but this scent just gets better with time, both on the skin and in the bottle, and for me the chocolate-truffle notes came out more after having the bottle a few years.

Purple Oud smells definitely Oud and no one can mistake that there is an orange note there. This fragrance smells new to dior collection, but not new to the market. This product resembles one of the best selling in the private collection products in Chanel. I would say 70% resembles Sycamore. So, i would expect the selling could be high for this product. I bought this out of curiosity after reading the comments, and liking SWY Leather only not having a bottle any longer - nor will I pay the ludicrous resale prices.

Oud oil from high-quality, wild Laotian wood is difficult, if not impossible, to source, so most Laotian oils on the market are actually distilled from plantation wood. The oil that is produced by Laotian plantations is plentiful and consistent in quality. Therefore, much of the output is sold directly to the large flavor and aroma factories in France and Switzerland, where it is used in upscale niche perfumery. The characteristics of Laotian oud oil are as follows: Having just bought this and worn it for a few days now (perfect weather in the UK just now - Spring Snow :o) ) I get dry, powdery, citrus, Oud and a hint of Vanilla. It's not unpleasant but I'm not leaping to celebrate it either. It's a bit weird. A sort of Jekyll & Hyde it's like two quirky personalities spliced together in the same bottle - sweet, fruity, fresh citrus aromatic for one and the other a dry, earthy (patchouli), woody (Oud) oriental. It kinda works but also kinda doesn't. I shall live with it a bit longer and see if it improves with some more time to macerate in the bottle and a dark cupboard. Its true I wasn’t clear when I said 1947, in which I meant the start point was at that time, but also there is a perfume was created and called new look 1947. “ reflects classic , antique smell”. It has its own costumers. Well, after that last statement you'd think this was a hate review but it's really not. For quite a few years in the early 10s, I didn't wear it at all, very rarely if I did. I would say it has taken me till this past year and now to kind of feel a bit more love towards it. It's a bottle of scent that I never wanted to sell off or swap away; and that's pretty funny to me since I had done that to so many other great scents discontinued or now out of reach monetary-wise.For the ladies: I'm not a big fan of Tom Ford. I was, when he was still art dirctor at YSL where he launched the amazing M7 frag for men and created the beautiful bottle. In 2005 he left and created his own brand (what else of a self proclaimed egomaniac) called: 'Tom Ford'. Cashing in on his supposed 'sex symbol' status for the ladies, he posed sedutively on a cover of Vanity Fair, where he sat clothed between an totally naked Scarlett Johansen and Keira Knightly. Although he is 100% and now openly gay. Sorry ladies. Vietnamese oud oil is available these days primarily as Vietnamese- style oud oil rather than the actual oil from Vietnam itself. That’s because it is next to impossible to source good Vietnamese oud wood for distillation into oil, every piece of wood brought out of the jungles having already been bought by the big Japanese incense companies and private collectors. If you want to smell Vietnamese oud in the ‘flesh’, so to speak, buy Baieido or Shoyeido incense, which uses this precious agarwood in powdered form. The wood itself is otherwise largely unavailable to distillers. Starting with both Purple Oud (PO) and Santal noir (SN). They are both smell differently and i would say they are almost new to dior collection especially PO.

Many people find the buying of oud anything stressful, partially because of the extra outlay involved and partially because of fears over authenticity. The more money one spends, the higher the expectation of purity. Nobody likes to feel that they are being duped. But a bit of common sense will help steer you in this matter. If this is what "Stronger with you: Leather" and "Armani Code Absolu" smell like...then I've definitely got a winner on my hands. I am suggesting to start simple and produce Yalang yalang with “ new item that haven’t been explored in the market”. Perverse vampire scent. I turn into a dark queen of the night, a witch, a vampire with this fragrance. Perfect for the upcoming Halloween season, but why not also all year-round. This scent is irresistible. Truffles, chocolate, orchid, rum, plums, ylang ylang, white flowers on the base of amber, sandalwood, musk and intoxicating incense.Look at Lancôme, they are using different perfume designers to create different ideas and have different perception in the la Maison collection. Pictachio and rose does reflect new work with high quality, although the rest of the new products is not that unique. Unscrew the stem by turning the gold ring at the top of the fragrance bottle — please do not twist the stem itself. To avoid a build-up of dust on your petals, gently blow each petal using a hair dryer on a COLD setting keeping the dryer at arm’s length. Or occasionally, wipe the petals carefully with a damp cloth to remove dirt. Dior Purple Oud opens with a strong projection of oud, sweet citrus, and spicy notes. The opening is bold, mature, dark, and projecting, challenging, elegant, and pleasant. Other than the oud, which is at the top of the opening notes, the orange, pink pepper, and saffron create an equally balanced accord. The oud in this fragrance is pungent, very dark, with a combustible or gasoline vibe, yet elegant and refined. The orange creates a pleasant sweet citrus accord, but it is short-lived, what remains is the spiciness of the pink pepper and saffron and combined create a bittersweet spice, slightly leathery, and earthy accord. The fragrance is relatively linear, the opening has a delectable sweet orange touch, but it dissipates towards the dry down, also, towards the dry down, the oud relaxes a bit, the harshness of that initial combustible or gasoline vibe subsides a bit, but the note remains dark and bold. Once Dior Purple Oud has reached its full dry down, it can be summarized as a very strong projection, slightly sweet, oud, and spicy fragrance. The fragrance feels bold, casual, commanding, dark, dense, dry, earthy, elegant, formal, harsh, heavy, imposing, masculine, mature, moderate-quality, mysterious, nocturnal, old-fashion, oriental, powerful, pungent, slightly sweet, warm, and pleasant.

The Oud Orchid fragrance is irresistibly attractive and fascinating. It will permeate the whole atmosphere with a good smell. Take advantage of this oriental scent to announce your arrival, wherever you go. Distillers do, however, produce Vietnamese- style oud oils that mimic the characteristics of the original Vietnamese oud, based on memories of how the oil smelled from the time when it was still available to distillers. The characteristics of Vietnamese-style oud are: Of the three ouds in the Maison Christian Dior line, Purple Oud is the easiest to wear. It’s certainly not weak and has above average longevity, but it’s not as monsterous as Oud Ispahan and not as skanky as Leather Oud. I think that going off of the feeling I get from this fragrance, it would be a fragrance that a man would wear from fall to winter and during the evening only. I also think that it being only worn in cold weather might make it somewhat more tolerable and less strong. Purple Oud is a very dark and smoky fragrance that indeed evokes the color purple, a dark evening sky purple specifically. Saffron is a purple flower with a deep and leathery smell, after all. Thai oils are A. Crassna oils with a similar profile to Cambodi-style oils but with less of the bright, jammy fruit of Cambodi oils and more of the metallic, funky sourness of oils from Vietnam and India. Thailand has many plantations of Aquilaria trees and therefore plentiful wood. Accordingly, Thai oud oils are simply called Thai ouds rather than Thai- style ouds.

Like earth, damp, wet soil. But when it introduce along with Orchid note in bed of Chocolate and Vanilla. Hindi oud is alternatively known as Indian, Bengali, Bangladeshi, and Assamese oud. Originally, Hindi oud referred to a specific terroir. Hindi oil was exclusively distilled from Agallocha-species trees that grow in Assam in Northeastern India, a mountainous area known for its lush tea plantations. But because the Agallocha is now grown in regions other than Assam, and because you can use different woods and force-aging to produce a Hindi-style oil, it is probably more accurate these days to view Indian oud as more a style of oud than strictly a product of its terroir. SIMILAR: These are examples of fragrances in the same genre. Amouage Jubilation XXV Man's EDP is a great oud and sweet fruity fragrance;
