But I’m tired of watching others get a piece of what is mine. So, I did what any rational man would do—I staked my claim, showed the world that she belonged to me, and I’m going to do whatever it takes to make her believe it too. If the writer decided to make this a novella,it would have saved us a lot of time since it’s not just pure smut,but combined with traumatic actions that don’t make up anything for the story or favor the plotline.It had some type of potential,but it was all wasted. It didn’t provide any type of character development,also. Now I’m just horny, and Amy wasn’t doing it for me. But the moment I saw Raylee standing at my door, I knew exactly who would. I didn’t even finish. Once Amy came, I was done with her. Raylee has ruined me for any other woman. They’re boring.Let’s not talk about the smut which could have been better.Don’t get me wrong,it was pleasant(the wine bottle scene mostly),but a little repetitive at times. She finds herself at the mercy of his father’s business partner George who has a proposition for Emilee. If she agrees to his proposal, he is ready to pay for his mother’s care. Shantel can write an amazing sex scene and it never disappoints. Side note, Is it bad that I really want more books which focus on Alex, Finn and Jenks’ individual lives? Personally, I would love to learn more about them and what goes down in their personal and love lives. If we were to get individual books for them 3, I would love to read them. Them 3 in relationships? Yes please. I just know they each get into some crazy and dark shit, which is how I like it.

The author was born in Texas but now makes her home in Tulsa Oklahoma where she lives with her husband. She met her supportive and wonderful husband while they were both in high school and they now have two kids.He believes he has done her a favor, even though she feels like she has been given a death sentence. He had refused to get married as he is still in love with her but it does seem that he wants more power and money. Like dominoes, everything started falling down around her. Her mother happens to be down with cancer which has kept her bedridden for months. As such, at such a critical time she finds herself all alone with her troubles.

Shantel Tessier’s novel “Code of Silence” is the story of a woman with a feared and dangerous husband. They had been dating for a few years but now intend to formalize their union. Over the years, I’ve read some seriously dark, erotic, twisted and overall concerning things and this book involves all of those topics. I previously read “The Ritual” by the same author and was happy to see a couple of those characters reappear in this book. I loved “The Ritual” so much and when I saw a couple characters from that book overlap to being in this one, It was a happy surprise. He’s what any girl would call a walking red flag. But I’ve never claimed to be a smart woman when it comes to men. Why should he be any different? Shantel Tessier merged a lot of tropes and made a chaotic mess out of it.Where is the angst when there is a stepbrother romance about confessing love in front of the family or other scenes..?!?

Shantel nailed it (pun intended) with Sabotage. I’ve always managed to hold my own against him. But this time, he’s gone too far. Posting a video of me on my knees for him, for what? To brag? Embarrass me? He’s acting like he doesn’t know me very well. He was always acting like he had something up his ass,while our fmc has only one personality trait.And i don’t want to judge her,but her point of view always had to be a monologue about how she’s a slut and she doesn’t mind it. Colt wants to play a game? I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure I win. No matter what it costs me.
