you have to actually bend the flap to get the records out, and it's so much slower than if it was just a regular jacket. It features a "wall of percussion" resembling "a marching band, West African drumming and rolling breakbeats". Recorded with her regular collaborator Inflo, this is Simz at her most free, daring and spontaneous. For example, in the track Angel, she talks about her rise to fame and her experience of being taken advantage of by her team at some point during her career. And of course Simz rapping with powerful lyrics about discrimination and both black and female empowerment.This release, titled "Sometimes I Might Be Introvert", was praised by many, with some of those people claiming that Little Simz was a mixture of Lauryn Hill and Kendrick Lamar. In a way, many moments here remind me of Kendrick's TPAB, with her "conscious rap" style shining through. In 2021, Little Simz released her previous studio album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, which became her first album to place in the top-ten of the UK Album Chart (at number four), and was ranked one of the best music releases of 2021 by critics.
