About this deal

Adds Pete Trombetta, vice president and lodging and cruise analyst at Moody’s, “It’s very likely that ships being sold today are discounted from the value placed on them a year ago. The choices are not terrible, but none of them were so outrageous as to make any of them inappropriate to play with my kids or with other adults who might have more conservative views than myself. All the players (except the Judge), having been given additional details about the two choices, must now make one.

Some synonyms for "pick your poison" include "choose your fate," "select your difficulty," and "choose the lesser of two evils. Carnival says it has enough fuel to stay afloat in 2021; and Reorg estimates American Airlines, Delta and United have a liquidity runway of little over a year. When a Double Down card is played and the player scores zero points in the round they lose their Double Down card for the remainder of the game. The Picking players now "pick their poison", indicating which poison they prefer (card A or card B) by playing their corresponding Pick card face down. It worked well with big and smaller groups, required creativity, communication, and great storytelling. We have so many stellar forwards on the team this year that we have a great player available for any situation.

As a party game, I think Pick Your Poison is a good one and certainly not a bad choice for those new to the game genre and looking to put something different on their gaming table. What I love about reading challenges is that they get me out of my comfort zone and I find myself reading non-fiction and memoirs and horror--genres I used to shudder at. For example, the Judge could respond to both of the player questions with something like “you would have very little control and no strength in your baby arms other than to suck on your fingers” or “no dentist in the world is skilled enough to remove your walrus tusks without extreme plastic surgery to your jaw which would cost you more than your insurance can cover. In the past, people also said things like "nominate your poison," "name your poison," and "choose your poison. Pick your poison" is used when someone has to make a choice between options that are not appealing, often choosing the lesser of two evils. When playing with an odd number of Picking players the Judge picks a Poison card alongside the other players.
