The handlebar clamps for the Quick-Release Aerobars need at least 22mm (7/8 inch) of straight, cylindrical handlebar on either side of the stem to clamp properly. The KINEKT post springs are available in five color-coded tensions for riders ranging from 50-320 pounds.

Redshift suggests that riders up to 80kg should only use the main spring and those from 90kg to 110kg must install the inner spring as well. Rebranded and included in Ergon’s ‘Allroad’ collection, this leaf-spring-inspired seatpost takes the edge off rough gravel roads, but comes with a few quirks. A single 5mm Allen bolt secures the two halves together, and in addition to securing both sides of the seatpost, this bolt is responsible for saddle tilt adjustments. In this case, Redshift aerobars (or any clip-on aerobars) will not be compatible since they will not clamp securely on the non-round handlebar. Conversely, if you have more weight on your hands because you ride in a more sporty position, you can get away with less suspension travel. The main reasons are aerodynamics and comfort, which are both important criteria for ultra-distance cyclists.
