About this deal

Now that I'm *cough* years old, I appreciate that identifying a weaknesses is the first step to resolving it, but back then I was too busy being bad at playing guitar to consider that sort of thing. Em todo o caso, e tirando esta "simplificação" da resolução de uma preocupação, não posso dizer que este livro não tenha uma boa intenção, assim como bonitas ilustrações, o que muito irá agradar ao público mais infantil (e não só). The statutory framework for the early years foundation stage and the reading framework, both refer to poetry and highlight the importance of saying and learning poems in the early. Nice art and story, even if the solution to worrying is super simplified, causing much scoffing from my wife who has spent a great portion of her life engaged in worries. Este livro é bom para iniciar uma conversa com as crianças sobre o que pode motivar uma preocupação.

Ruby’s Worry by PERCIVAL TOM | Goodreads

I didn't specify what Ruby is worried about in the book because ultimately, it doesn't matter what the actual problem is - the solution will always be found by opening up about your worries and talking them through with someone, ideally someone thoughtful, sensible and sensitive! Problem is, the cops don’t care, and this case will surely take her to some bad places, and up against some bad people. The frightened group crossed the state of Georgia, going into the mountains of Tennessee before finding a place that might be a safe place for them. This perceptive and poignant story is the perfect springboard for talking to children about emotions and anxieties. This is a book that will be useful in any primary classroom or library as it talks about how Ruby comes across a worry.

Also very helpful for a time when it’s hard to know how to process the emotion of things just not being quite right.

Ruby’s Worry by Tom Percival | Waterstones

These easy-to-deliver resources are designed to help children settle into the nursery and classroom environment, and will allow them to develop their communication, language and literacy skills. I love that there are books popping up to normalize things that we struggle with, especially around the topic of mental health.Ruby's happiness was bubbling over her as she watched Annie get to know her daddy that she looked so much like. I feel it's important for children, and their parents, to be offered books that might help them navigate their emotional journeys. Now, seventeen years later, he's presented with a choice that brings him face-to-face with a dark world he knew too well.

Ruby’s Worry: A Big Bright Feelings Book: Big Bright Feelings

I greatly enjoyed reading this with my four year old, but think my elementary and middle school kids would benefit from this story as well. Having books like this available will hopefully let the kids know that they aren't alone and that they can talk about the feelings they are having. It sounds obvious, but when you're in a position of denial, about anything, you can never be truly happy.
