Thank you so much to Suzanne Glidewell for gifting me a copy of your book in exchange for my honest review!The novel is very character driven, the whole plot centers around Julie moving on and her daughter, Darla, encouraging her to move. This is a worthwhile, heart-wrenching (yet enjoyable) read with the quality and depth I've grown to expect from Hosmer's works. Even for someone who isn't Catholic and knows nothing about it, I was totally able to get into the plot. While Darla sounds like a sassy teenager and refers to herself as a "dead white girl," she realizes she can't move on until everyone she loves lets her go.

Milner and her husband now live north of Williams Lake, off the grid in an eco friendly timber frame home. It helps put religion into perspective and it’s a good reminder of how different people practice spirituality. Stuck in between life and death, she travels back and forth in time witnessing some of the worst moments from her past.
