Although I loved the characters I personally feel like I didn’t connect to them enough and that’s why I couldn’t give this book a 5 star. This one is my favorite so far, but I’m interested in how the last book will pan out and compare to the others. i loooved the marriage of convenience in this book, especially when the lines started blurring between their 'fake' relationship and their real feelings.

That man was the physical embodiment of looks being deceiving and I am now a fan of quiet lawyers with black rimmed glasses who are secretly kinda crazy (drop some recs if u have any please😭) I now am a firm believer in the phrase “glasses are the sluttiest thing a man could wear” as of now😮‍💨. It was so hard to root for them at times but nonetheless I enjoyed the story, just not my favorite in the series. It’s not that I’m a dark romance hater, because I read dark romances since I was too young, but this is straight up bad. It was confusing and not pieced together well and ended up overshadowing everything and everyone in this book, for no reason. her books are so easy to fall into from the first page, and i always look forward to picking them up whenever she publishes them.

All the things she had gone through at the hands of her mom honestly made my heart break so much, I already hated her mom from the first book in the series and that quadrupled in this book. I couldn't put this book down and I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting because I was so engaged in the story. My morals kept trying to push their way in, but honestly I enjoyed the possessiveness, the push and pull, and crazy wild chemistry of the characters.
