About this deal

The WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) is used to measure fuel consumption and CO 2 figures. Essentially the only thing that happens is that the car refuses to unlatch, if someone presses the open button. Try bridging the switch wiring first and see if the hatch motor operates -y ou will have to either unplug the boot light switch or keep it pressed while you do that otherwise it will not work because it will know the hatch is already open. Anyway after hours chasing all sorts of red herrings I finally worked out that the boot switch does not operat the boot lock as such. The other weird thing ive found is there is a switch/sensor on the n/s hinge, normal position is for it to be out, if i press the switch in and operate the boot switch it operates the lock as per normal, so i thought the switch was faulty and replaced with a genuine vauxhall one, still the same.

Fuel consumption data and CO 2 emission data are determined using the WLTP test cycle, and the relevant values are translated back to allow the comparability into NEDC. If i had to put my money on something, i would bet on the wiring that goes from the car to the boot.To fix the issue with your sunroof, I recommend having a professional mechanic check your vehicle to determine the cause of the problem and make any necessary repairs. Come join the discussion about performance, classifieds, clubs, modifications, troubleshooting, maintenance, and more! Either the locking mechanism has gone bad, the wiring that goes through the rubber boot is broken or the microswitch that you press, when wanting to open the boot is bad. I opened the roof and as I started driving, I started hearing this annoying noice, signaling that the boot is open. If it is the same as a 2006 Astra hatch, drop down your back seat to gain access to the boot area, you should see a round plastic cap on the plastic fascia of the boot lid, remove the cap with a flat object, get a quarter drive extension bar with tee bar on the end, push the bar well into the hole, you will feel a small spring effect, turn the bar and the boot lid should release.

Normally you cant push the button in when its locked but i can now and whether its locked or unlocked pushing the button doesnt do anything. For background, we have had a problem with the tailgate not opening for about 18 months, we just came to accept it as a fault we will fix eventually. The roof ecu is in the boot, so find someone with a diagnostic tool that can open the boot, Opcom, Vauxcom or Tech 2 can do this,. Hi Ian, i ended up taking the car to a roof specialist local to me, they diagnosed the problem to be a failed roof control module! With the help of a long umbrella (or you can use just about any stick, which is at least 60-70cm long) and a lot of patience I managed to extend the net back to its rightful location, so that it is fully stretched in the boot. Turns out my mum had been in the car while i was away and had used the key rather than the central locking which may have caused the problem! This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees. Part of the reason I am here is to rule out a couple of things so that I can either resolve the problem myself, or at least when it does need to go in for repair, I can perhaps reduce the amount of investigation that is required.

Using the boot as normal while looking for a cheap replacement boot lock, no rush now cos its only the boot light not working. If it is something as simple as a bulb needing replaced (is that even possible on the centre high brake light? The CO 2 figures display a range to reflect the highest value for the highest emitting version with all available options added, through to a minimum value to represent the lowest emitting version in standard specification. If it is wiring or release mechanism, then this will offcourse not work, and i dont even know if opcom has this test for the K, it seems to be pretty lacking in options for the K, sadly. The other issue is the centre brake light not now working, which could be entirely co-incidental, but i would like to try checking it out first because there is probably a more critical nature to it not working.
