Yes, there were times when Sapkowski endless prattling about nonsense made me want to pull my eyebrows out but I endured.

Overall, the books are enjoyable to read with appealing main characters, Geralt, Dandelion, Yennefer and Cirri, but also with many entertaining side characters, especially the Dwarves, who are very down-to-earth in their outlook. s A Polish Book of Monsters is an English anthology edited and translated by Michael Kandel that includes a translation of "The Witcher" entitled "Spellmaker".The Witcher is supposed to be a guardian of the innocent, a protector of those in need, a defender against powerful and dangerous monsters that prey on men in dark times. In October 2018, Sapkowski's hometown of Łódź officially renamed a garden square Witcher Square ( Skwer Wiedźmina) and announced plans to add benches, swings and other installations based on the series to the area. I don’t want to say I didn’t like it, maybe I just don’t get it but I found most of the series to just be a collection of stories about a couple of common characters that I overall enjoyed but as a series I felt lost and confused most of the time. He decided to enter a short story competition, limited to 30-pages, held by Polish science fiction and fantasy magazine Fantastyka. With war tearing the world apart, with evil leaders and sinister sorcerers at every turn, Geralt and Ciri now face the outcomes of every decision they ever made, leading to a finale that's sure to make fans who were along the ride for this epic journey satisfied.

Admittedly some parts to drag in my opinion like the parts to do with the war ongoing with background but at the same time its world building so regardless i'd urge fans of the Witcher series to read it. The Last Wish takes almost every single story from Wiedzmín and adds more, all of which feature events that occur before the previously published Sword of Destiny. Placing third, that entry spawned a collection of short stories that then inspired the publication of a five-novel series, the Witcher Saga — which then became an entire franchise. People who have played the games will be glad to know that the dwarf Zoltan Chivay temporarily joins Geralt’s ragtag group too, as well as the vampire Regis.
