About this deal

If you are familiar with the bushy, rubbery-feeling tail of the fox, racoon, and wolf costume characters from series past, you’ll recognize this element. Starting around August with the launch of the next Minifigures Series, the LEGO® Group is switching to carboard boxes for all future CMF series. is a massive year for Disney as they celebrate their 100th anniversary, and what better way to commemorate this historic milestone than with a 3rd LEGO Disney minifigures series! Like Robin Hood, Prince John’s head and crown are one solid moulded piece, and is really well designed. When you find the base where the stud attaches, you should feel a v-shaped space where the tail branches off the body.

I usually tell people to avoid feeling for common parts likes torsos and legs when trying to identify Minifigures. How to find one: Try feeling for Aurora’s dress skirt, which will narrow it down to Tiana, Aurora and The Queen. It was a stress free way to ensure I’d get a complete set of the Disney figures - in fact I got two sets! The telltale elements for this character are really the frog (also small and hard to find) and the 2×3 printed tile. It isn’t mentioned here, so in case it isn’t obvious to others, it’s worth noting that ALL the ones with fabric components contain that easy to distinguish extra crinkly bag inside: Jiminy Cricket, Queen of Hearts, Cruella de Vil, Prince John and The Queen.

Conceived by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1927, a year before Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is a historic animated character, and it’s great to see LEGO and Disney include it in this series. The flagpole was also easy to find, but easily confused with Mickey’s broomstick or Facilier’s staff. The Native American heroine looks incredible as a minifigure, and her signature tan outfit looks great on her, and there are some nice details like her blue necklace printed on. Her new windswept wig is also very impressive, and I was thrilled that it’s made out of hard plastic instead of the rubbery material which is also very welcome. It’s a really trippy minifigure arm, especially with two functional hands which can grasps a set of blasters, and can swivel up and down. For accessories, he comes with a magic broomstick which he enchanted and brought to life, and a bucket to round up the look.

The LEGO mystery bags also include other Disney collectables: Prince John, Tiana, Dr Facilier, Queen of Hearts and Mulan minifigures. A Figaro the cat bonus figure would have also been great with Pinocchio, but I am glad that we got Cleo. So, let’s roll up those sleeves and dive in one last time for the Disney 100 Minifigures feel guide! While the sac and coin accessories certainly make sense as inclusions in the blind bag, I do find myself wishing the character came with Sir Hiss instead. Thanks for helping me to get him, he can now rave along to the Prodigy… Magic people, Voodoo people! And just in time with Disney’s 100th-year celebration, this upcoming CMF craze will launch this May, alongside other LEGO Disney sets that mark the occasion.
