About this deal

We have especially developed our Prep Coat as a bridge coat between standard paint and primers to make limewash more durable, and easy to apply. There are quite a few words in a synopsis where when I see them I just can't resist reading the book and one of those words is Renaissance, especially when it's set in Italy. If you are not sure if your surface has some absorbency you can do a quick and easy test with clean water: if the water is absorbed, so will be the paint.

I was ready to believe that in the sixteenth century would think that there was an undiscovered colour, prince orient. He should have either kept the romance out of it (because it made the ending rather hurried) or went more into it. It niggled me when people referred to Leonardo da Vinci as 'Da Vinci', as if it was his surname, but otherwise the period setting and sense of place were well presented. Instead, he finds himself in a conspiracy of treachery, abuse and underlying currents of a bigger threat.Atmospheric and suspenseful, and filled with the famous artists of the era, ‘The Colour Storm’ is an intoxicating story of art and ambition, love and obsession in Renaissance Venice – capturing a moment of artistic invention that echoes through the centuries. The run-off is safe for your drainage system or your garden, it will not pollute the environment nor damge or clog up your septic system.

The writing is so assured, so fluent, it was like being on a gondola in Venice yourself, being pushed smoothly along the water. When I began this story, I started to see colour’s hidden dimensions and how everything is constantly at play in the mind’s eye. Enjoyed the writing and the historical setting but the story went on a little too long, the characters fell a little flat, and it got preachy towards the end. The story builds to an exciting climax and I very much enjoyed it - having an interest in art certainly enhanced the experience of reading this book. Today he is considered one of the most romantic and mysterious figures in the history of those times. All this surrounds a proper good old adventure story with romance, mystery and exciting twists in spades! Set in Renaissance Venice, The Colour Storm follows Giorgione (Zorzo) Barbarelli, the real life painter who created the world famous paintings The Tempest and Sleeping Venus. Burza kolorów” to z pewnością niezwykła opowieść, która nie tylko bawi wizją magicznego świata kolorów, ale także prowokuje do refleksji nad naturą sztuki, miłością i ludzką egzystencją.
