About this deal

Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). It had funny, cheesy jokes in that the children reading the book will understand and the storyline is fasted paced and engaging.

One of the greatest elements of this book; as with all David Walliams’ books, is that it perfectly walks the naughty line. All of the kids except ‘larker’ get turned in to monsters, one was a slug, one was an amoeba, one was a jellyfish and so on.

When Larker is sent to the school, she quickly realises that VERY odd things are going on involving sinister Science teacher Doctor Doktur, a secret cave and a ‘Monsterfication Machine’. I know adults may review this in regards to if a child would enjoy it, but I'm reviewing it as an adult reading it. These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc. A girl who likes telling jokes goes to a school for extremely bad kids, the school is on an active volcano and I’m not sure how the book got published, as there is so much child abuse and so much illegal stuff. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. This is the first David Walliams book I’ve read, and after hearing nothing but praise for his previous books, I was excited to finally give it a go.

David's books have now exceeded 100 non-consecutive weeks at children's number one, and have been translated into 53 languages, selling more than 35 million copies worldwide.I certainly loved reading it, it reminded me of the books I read growing up (I used to love reading Roald Dahl). We follow Larker who finds herself sent to Cruel School as a punishment and her adventures within it. This story is about a girl that meets like a monster and then they have a lot of adventures together but the problem is that it is lie illegal for her to have the monster because it is dangerous so the story is about the girl and the adventures of the monster but also how she tries the monster to be friends with people so that she can demonstrate that the monster is not dangerous. We kept talking about how great it would be if there was a giant monster made up of all different monsters.
