The Evolution Universal Mitre Saw Stand will fit mitre saws from many popular brands and all of Evolution’s mitre saws. The timber is clamped in place inside the box and then cut with the mitre slots acting as a guide for the saw.

It has the clean appearance of a mitre joint but is easier to glue, since the interlocking fingers align the two halves of the joint. Made from high-quality hardened and precision ground steel, the Durston mitre cutter jig is designed to make mitre cuts a breeze.

Note that very slight adjustments of your fine adjuster will affect the fit of the two pieces so proceed in small steps. If you are going to be moving your Mitre Saw around, using it on-site, and taking it with you to various job locations then a Mitre Saw Stand will be incredibly helpful. Sliding mitre saws have an arm designed for back and forth movement while cutting, enabling you to work with thicker, longer pieces of wood or timber. A few minutes spent with a square or digital angle finder during initial assembly will repay you with greater cut accuracy.

To make the cuts easier, set cutter and fence to their precise positions, using your setting pieces, and clamp two stops to the table top tight behind the fence.
