More than you might imagine even when you're halfway through it and think you know where the story is going. Sometimes you just have to choose between a bunch of wrong choices and pick the one which feels the least wrong.

I fell in love with with a hopeless boy who made wordless pinky promises and gazed at stars and looked after Sky and was intense about everything and had me in his spell. Seems ironic that a book entitled Hopeless would lead me to become so incredibly and utterly hopeful.

When on her evening run, she runs into him again, and learns his name is Holder, and he has a tattoo across his forearm that says ‘Hopeless’. I couldn’t decide if Hoover was attempting to make him remorseful or not because if she was, then it didn’t work and I find it hard to believe such a person could be remorseful about acts so disgusting and abhorrent. She prepared to battle to save someone she didn't know yet she did, perhaps better than anyone else.

I never thought I would ever be able to trust a man enough to share my heart, much less hand it over completely. One day, when she was crying on the porch, Holder and Les came to console her, and that was when Les gave her the bracelet. This is the first book I’ve read by Colleen Hoover, and it came recommended to me by a bookstagrammer on Instagram who told me that it destroyed her when she was sixteen years old.

If he looked any different, Sky would have not believed his behaviour to be remotely okay, she would have ran screaming in the opposite direction. Every chapter when it was labeled “13 years earlier” with the descriptions that Hoover provided I guessed that her father had molested her, which later on is found out to be true.Holder, his twin Lesslie and Sky knew each other when they were kids, but when Sky was five, she was kidnapped, and had never been found. She remembers a girl who gave it to her, and her brother, who were both her best friends, but everything else is blank. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. She befriends a guy named Breckin, and they both take to each other quickly as the new kids and outsiders at school. However I’m not convinced by the twists and turns in this book, because so much of it just doesn’t seem to add up and it seems to rely on a connection that started when two people were 5 and 6 years old.

This was my 10th book this year and I am blown away at how many emotions I went through during this book! When this book wasn't busy lovingly breaking my heart, it got its kicks from wowing me with some of the most clever and adorable scenarios imaginable.It's a story about a boy who never leaves her side because he's been waiting for her his whole life. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. I don't understand why anytime he steps within a foot of my personal space, it sucks the breath out of me. Overall, I would describe Hopeless as one heavy, intense, and emotionally-driven book with an extraordinary level of angst.
