About this deal

if you just want something not to serious and something that feels like a gossip session with a friend; this would be an excellent choice. Reading this book is like having a chat with a knowledgable great friend, who can see things for what they are and name them in a really honest way. Without judgement, and with deep empathy informed by her own, much-chronicled adventures in love, friendship and dating, Dolly leads us by the hand through the various labyrinths of life, proving that a problem shared is truly a problem halved. Sent pictures of various pages to my friends and I know I’ll be referring back to it at times of need. I did find the dating and friendship sections a little repetitive at times (possibly because I was reading in big chunks) but the great thing about this book is you can go back and forth between sections. even the advice columns that weren’t relevant to me were engaging and insightful, and her moral perspectives and personal ethics very much aligned with my own. Dolly has an incredible ability to put herself in another person's shoes, something that sometimes seems so easy, but can actually turn out to be quite difficult.

Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously. Furthermore, I really liked that the book covered several themes, namely friendship, relationships and family.

Feel bad giving this two stars because I know it’s more meant for people in their 30s and 40s not me. What I liked about her responses to each reader were that they were carefully planned, and considerate of both the reader’s feelings and the person/people they were in conflict with. She is a columnist for The Sunday Times Style and has also written for GQ, Red, Marie Claire and Grazia. While none of the questions selected for this book was really compatible with my life right now, I still found reading her replies empathetic and friendly.
