I did find the second half moderately more engaging than the first but it wasn’t enough to keep me hooked for the rest of the series. she's a wilting daisy woven into a entryway mat everyone stomps all over and i really hope she grows beyond that personality in future books. Yet I can understand the reason for the misleading blurb; so much happens in this book, it's kind of hard to summarise without spoilers.
