The RatKill Rat & Mouse Killer is a great product formulated and produced with 15+ unique sugars and cereals which makes them irresistible to rodents. The effectiveness helps kill rats and manage rodent infestations with relative ease, which is the goal after all! Train the rats to lean that the baits are safe to eat. Place the baits here and there whenever you see rodent activity but do not insert poison into them. Then after a short while, 2-3 days, place the baits with poison in the evening. Remove the leftovers in the morning. Follow the same routine for the next couple of days (place rodenticide baits in the evening, clean after in the morning). That will ensure most of the rats are poisoned. Use different bait stations for mice and rats: rats are bigger than mice, thus require bigger stations.

And to deal with the last question - why has the poison I've used not worked. If you've had all your bait eaten and still have a problem, it is highly likely that you need to put more poison down. The time needed for the poison to take effect will vary based on the type and age of poison and the size of the rat. Older rat poisons that have been left out for a while will generally be less effective and take longer to work. Most poisons will need about two to three days before taking effect, given the rodent has ingested enough of the poison. A realistic timeline is four to six days.
